Jerry Stiller & Anne Meara
Jerry Stiller may be well-known for his portrayal of George Costanza’s father in the sitcom Seinfeld, but he started off being half of the comedy duo Stiller and Meara. After getting his degree in Speech and Drama, Stiller moved back to New York. He met Meara in a theatrical agent’s office, where the actress burst out of the office in tears. He took her out for coffee and listened to her rant about how men treated women in New York. For Meara, she already knew that she would marry Stiller from that moment on.
The couple did tie the knot before they started doing comedy shows under the Ed Sullivan show. They were a hit! They kept coming back for more than 15 years until they parted ways professionally. Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara are Ben Stiller’s parents. During their marriage, the duo put their hard-earned investment money on a home in the Upper West Side, where they raised their family.
