Michael B. Jordan | Dr. Dre – Straight Outta Compton

In more recent years, Michael B. Jordan has been making quite a name for himself under the spotlight. Beginning his career as a child model, he eventually found his way into the acting business with roles in Hardball, All My Children, and The Wire.Along the way, however, the actor was stuck between a metaphorical rock and a hard place. After talking with rapper Dr. Dre and even receiving his approval, Jordan was initially set to portray the rapper in the 2015 biopic Straight Outta Compton.

As great of an opportunity it could’ve been, the actor had to drop the project due to his involvement in the superhero flick Fantastic Four – also released in 2015. Corey Hawkins eventually took credit for portraying Dr. Dre. On the bright side, though, Jordan has since garnered widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Erik Killmonger in Marvel’s Black Panther and, of course, his performance as the titular lead in the Creed movies.
