In one way or another, choosing what roles to play in any entertainment project can be an investment in its own right. Well, the same can also be said for selecting what projects not to take.Michelle Pfeiffer is best known for her versatile performances throughout her career, taking on roles for movies of just about any genre. As impressive as that may be, it doesn’t mean the Batman Returns actress declined a couple of projects along the way.

Besides being a loving mother to her kids, another reason behind turning them down is due to more personal reasons. This is made all the more apparent when Michelle was offered the part of Catherine Tramell in the movie Basic Instinct. Due to the character being too risqué for her, the Wizard of Lies star declined the role, with Sharon Stone ultimately taking on the part.
