Thomas Jane | Don Draper – Mad Men

The Mist actor Thomas Jane is someone who has tried both acting and directing, excelling in both. He has appeared in movies like Deep Blue Sea, The Predator, and The Mist. Jane has also displayed business savvy by founding RAW Studios, perhaps without a need for business loans. When he forayed into directing, he worked on Dark Country in 2009. The movie starred Lauren German and Ron Perlman.

In the case of Mad Men, AMC wanted to cast Jane as Don Draper, according to Jon Hamm, who eventually played the role. Jane, however, said he was not into television and declined the role.
