Aubrey Plaza rose to fame as a result of her comedic timing and style. She appeared in the Jeannie Tate Show’s web series after doing improv and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Aubrey soon entered the big screen with roles in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Funny People, and About Alex.She was born in Wilmington, Delaware, to an Irish attorney and Puerto Rican financial advisor.

Plaza graduated from Ursuline Academy in 2002 and the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in 2006. She experienced a stroke in 2004 at NYU, resulting in temporary paralysis and expressive aphasia, but she has since fully recovered. From 2009 through 2015, she portrayed April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation. Fans praised her throughout the series for her portrayal of the deadpan employee, dubbing her as one of the show’s standout characters.
