Clark Johnson | African, American
With his burly appearance, African-American character, Clark Johnson is best known for his work on television. Born in Philadelphia to multiracial parents, he moved to Montreal when he was 15 years old.He started his career as a special effects technician on David Cronenberg’s Videodrome, and The Dead Zone in 1980. He started his acting investments with minor roles in films such as Nowhere to Hide, Adventures in Babysitting, and Colors before landing a recurring role in the famous Canadian cop series Night Heat.
Johnson joined the critically-acclaimed series Homicide: Life on the Street in 1993, acting for all seven seasons, and the reunion film. Johnson’s Hollywood break came when he directed S.W.A.T. in 1970. Other recent credits include the hit U.S. series Homeland, The Walking Dead, and Breakout Kings. In his third decade in front of or behind the camera, Johnson is still in high demand.
