Cassie Ventura is one of the few people who has turned their 15 minutes of fame into a more than a decade-long career. Cassie, known by her first name, rose to a degree of stardom in the mid-2000s after releasing her self-titled debut album in 2006. Fans rapidly predicted Cassie to be the next big thing in mainstream music after her Me & U success.Born in Connecticut, Cassie has a Filipino father and a Mexican, West Indian, and African-American mother.

Cassie has made it a point to honor her roots throughout her career, and several tracks on her debut album incorporated sounds influenced by her Filipino heritage. She launched her career as a model and graced the ads for Clean and Clear, Adidas, Abercrombie & Fitch, and magazines such as Bust, and GQ. Cassie’s other hits include Radio, Balcony, and Love a Loser. She appeared in other songs namely Addiction, Babygirl, and #WherestheLove.
