Christopher Walken

A widely acclaimed actor, comedian, and singer, Christopher Walken has been in a wide array of films and television series. The 78-year-old actor’s hobby of choice is, much to his fans’ surprise, a lion tamer. In an interview with IndieWire, the veteran actor recounted that in his teens, he acted in a circus with a real-life lion. To his credit, the lioness, Sheba, would actually act similarly to a dog, being very timid.

Walken first started his career in the Golden Age of Television, appearing in a sketch on The Colgate Comedy Hour in the early 1950s. He then landed a regular role in Wonderful John Action shortly in 1953, with the credit going to his old name Ronnie Walken, which was later changed to Christopher Walken in 1964 due to the suggestion of the late actress Monique van Vooren. Among the list of films that the actor has worked on are titles such as The Dogs of War, Catch Me If You Can, Batman Returns, The Jungle Book, and The Dead Zone, among many.
